In the title compound, C(11)H(13)BrOS, the thio-ether unit and the phenyl ring adopt an essentially planar conformation, with a maximum deviation of 0.063†à . In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, extending in zigzag chains along the b axis. A weak intra-molecular C-H⋯Br hydrogen bond is also observed, which forms an S(6) ring motif.
