In the title compound, C(15)H(12)I(2)N(2)O(2), the dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 26.5†(3)° and the mol-ecule has an E configuration about the C=N bond. An intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bond is observed in the mol-ecule. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming chains along the c axis.
