In the title compound, [ZnI(2)(C(12)H(9)BrN(2))], the metal centre displays a moderately distorted tetra-hedral coordination geometry defined by two iodide anions and two N atoms of the organic ligand. The dihedral angle between the pyridine and benzene rings is 15.15â (13)°.
