Murine and human follicles were cultured in alginate hydrogel and hormone production [17β-estradiol, progesterone, inhibin A, inhibin B, activin A and anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH)] was quantified in medium by enzyme-linked immuno assay (ELISA).
