Abstract
The introduction of a computerized drug ordering and exception system into a statewide Mental Health/Mental Retardation Program has required careful attention to the concerns of clinicians who will be using this system. A presentation which incorporates these concerns and emphasizes potential benefits of the system is described which has proved valuable in minimizing initial resistance to acceptance of the system.
