The association of hidradenitis suppurativa with cigarette smoking and cannabis use: a cross-sectional study in the All of Us Research Program

We sought to examine the association between hidradenitis suppurativa, and cigarette smoking and cannabis use with a cross-sectional study using All of Us, a National Institutes of Health research programme that focuses on traditionally underrepresented populations in research. Using electronic health record and survey data, we found that the odds of cigarette smoking and cannabis use are increased by 75% and 54%, respectively, in patients with hidradenitis suppurativa.
