The rights of children and young people in the context of inpatient public youth welfare are repeatedly disregarded. Thus, in the area of tension between help and control, residential groups become “spaces of specialization” from the perspective of the young people living there. The research perspective of social pedagogical user research offers a possibility to realize the right of children and adolescents to an obstinate point of view.
