We present a genome assembly from an individual male specimen of Cryptophagus acutangulus (acute-angled fungus beetle; Arthropoda; Insecta; Coleoptera; Cryptophagidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 177.30 megabases. Most of the assembly (83.62%) is scaffolded into 18 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X (1), X (2) and Y sex chromosomes. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 20.2 kilobases in length.
