The title compound, C(11)H(12)ClNO(3), crystallizes with two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. Inter-molecular N-Hâ¯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules related by translation along the b axis into two independent hydrogen-bonded chains. The crystal studied exhibited inversion twinning.
