The title compound, C(16)H(22)O(3), is a useful inter-mediate in the synthesis of poly(amido-amine) dendrimers. The cyclo-hexane ring adopts a chair conformation. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked into centrosymmetric dimers by pairs of O-Hâ¯O hydrogen bonds.
