The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(18)H(22)Br(2)N(2)O(2), contains one half-mol-ecule that is related to the other half by a center of inversion located at the mid-point of the central C-C bond. The hy-droxy (phenolic) groups are linked to the N atoms by O-Hâ¯N hydrogen bonds, which generate S(6) rings.
