The title mol-ecule, C(14)H(9)Cl(2)N(3)O(3), has an E configuration with respect to the methyl-idene unit. The dihedral angle between the mean planes of the two benzene rings is 12.3â (3)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via bifurcated N-Hâ¯(O, N) hydrogen bonds into chains along [001].
