Protocol for establishment of parabiotic mouse models and validation by flow cytometric analysis of immune cells.

The parabiotic mouse model is widely utilized across various research fields due to its characteristic shared circulation system. Here, we present a protocol for constructing and validating parabiotic mouse models by flow cytometric analysis of immune cells. We describe steps for cohabitation, parabiosis surgery, sampling, and flow cytometric validation. This protocol improves reliability and allows significantly improved short- and long-term survival rates compared to existing approaches.
