Abstract
The WHO Africa Region Transformation Agenda (2015-2024) significantly enhanced health outcomes across Africa by strengthening strategic partnerships. By decentralising external relations, engaging non-state actors and hosting the Africa Health Forum, the Agenda boosted WHO Regional Office for Africa's capacity to mobilise resources and support Member States. The Agenda's success is evident in increased funding, improved stakeholder engagement and enabling WHO to better contribute to building more resilient health systems in Africa, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. By aligning initiatives with national health priorities and focusing on sustainability, the Transformation Agenda has laid a strong foundation for achieving Universal Health Coverage and the Sustainable Development Goals in Africa.
