Increased inspiratory workload from elastic/resistive loads may raise diaphragm thickening fraction (DTF) while limiting diaphragm excursion (DE). DTF and DE should not be measured under ventilatory support. Other diaphragm US methods lack validation. https://bit.ly/3EU7K3D
