Abstract
Otomysis is the infestation of human ears with dipterous larvae. It is a rare medical issue, primarily observed in individuals with underlying vulnerabilities residing in tropical and subtropical regions. A 56-year-old farmer, with a history of chronic otitis media, presented to our emergency department for otalgia and pruritus of the right ear. Otoscopic examination revealed numerous whitish larvae. Management was based on abundant irrigation using saline solution Otomyiasis is a rare disease that should be considered in the differential diagnosis of patients presenting with unexplained otological symptoms, particularly in rural areas.
