Abstract
We present a genome assembly from an individual female Larus fuscus (the lesser black-backed gull; Chordata; Aves; Charadriiformes; Laridae). The genome sequence has a total length of 1,324.30 megabases. Most of the assembly (90.38%) is scaffolded into 32 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 16.75 kilobases in length.
