Abstract
BACKGROUND: Surgical exposure of postauricular skin lesions is challenging. METHOD: Using a sterile dressing to expose the location of postauricular: A V-shaped notch (one-third of the side length) is cut at the dressing midline. The auricle is folded and secured within the notch. RESULT: Folding and fixing the auricle into the dressing notch improves surgical exposure and minimizes contamination risks. CONCLUSION: The intraoperative use of dressings to expose postauricular skin lesions is a convenient and low-cost method worthy of clinical promotion.
