Abstract
BACKGROUND: Brugada syndrome (BrS) is an inherited channelopathy with characteristic electrocardiogram findings that are often mistaken as acute coronary syndrome. Overall, sudden cardiac death and seizures are uncommon initial presentations. CASE SUMMARY: This case describes a patient with an initial presentation of cardiac arrest and seizures due to BrS, both of which are uncommon initial presentations. DISCUSSION: The prevalence of BrS is believed to be around 1 in 5,000 patients. The incidence of BrS pattern on the electrocardiogram has ranged from 0.12% to 0.8%.
