Abstract
Various diseases such as tumor trauma can lead to shaft defects, the traditional methods for treating backbone defects include autogenous bone grafting, allogenic bone grafting, bone transport for bone defect repair, resection of the tumor segment with inactivation and replantation. In recent years, Intercalary diaphyseal prosthesis have gradually become an important method for treating stem defects due to their unique advantages. This article introduces the many advantages of Intercalary diaphyseal prosthesis in treating stem defects, with a focus on the generation of Intercalary diaphyseal prosthesis and the evolution of their design concepts. Intended to provide assistance to orthopedic surgeons in gaining a deeper understanding and recognition of Intercalary diaphyseal prosthesis.
