Abstract
This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: The primary objective is to assess the effectiveness and safety of premedication in reducing pain/stress in neonates undergoing non‐urgent endotracheal intubation. Subgroups analysis will be conducted based on four gestational age (GA) categories: under 28 weeks; 28 weeks to under 32 weeks; 32 weeks to under 37 weeks; and 37 weeks or more to under 44 weeks' postmenstrual age (PMA), to encompass all intubation procedures.
