Abstract
The structure of the dimeric title compound, [Sn(2)(C(4)H(9))(4)Cl(2)(OH)(2)], was redetermined at 100 K by use of an area detector to provide new data to improve the structural parameters for detailed analysis. Noteworthy is the folding of the central, non-symmetric, four-membered [SnO](2) ring [dihedral angle about the O⋯O axis = 1.09 (3)°], as well as the elongation of the Sn-Cl bonds [mean value = 2.5096 (4) Å], as a result of inter-molecular O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds; the latter lead to a chain-like arrangement of dimeric mol-ecules along [101].
