1-(4-Methyl-benzene-sulfon-yl)-1-phenyl-1H,2H-cyclo-buta[c]quinoline

The title compound, C(24)H(19)NO(2)S, forms strands along the b-axis direction via hydrogen bonds from the tolyl group to the sulfonyl oxygen atoms. The tricyclic framework is almost planar and the two six-membered aromatic substituents are nearly coparallel.
