Abstract
The title coordination polymer, [Co(N(3))(2)(C(9)H(8)N(2))] (n) , was synthesized solvothermally. The Co(II) atom exhibits a distorted octa-hedral [CoN(6)] coordination geometry with a bidentate 8-amino-quinoline ligand and four azide ligands. Bridging azide ligands result in chains extending along [100]. N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds join the chains to give an extended structure with sheets parallel to (002).
