Abstract
A method for the functionalization of C-3β of vinyl indoles is described. The procedure involves a hydroboration, followed by a Suxuki-Miyaura cross-coupling with the intermediate alkyl borane. Triflates, bromides, and iodides are suitable coupling partners, allowing access to a variety of elaborated indole compounds.
