Abstract
Reports of jejunal flap necrosis caused by vascular anastomosis thrombosis as a late complication are rare. We report the case of a 68-year-old man who presented with free jejunal necrosis more than 2 years after reconstruction surgery and achieved a successful outcome due to relatively early necrosis detection, enabling salvage surgery before severe infection developed. It highlights the clinical importance of regular monitoring and documentation of the internal appearance of the free jejunal flap's lumen and the need to consider the possibility of delayed necrosis.
