With a focus on sustainability and functionality, this Special Issue looks at various topics, including novel food-packaging solutions, bio-based adhesives, and the integration of nanotechnology to improve performance. It emphasizes the importance of understanding limitations and overcoming them through innovation, highlighting the crucial role of bio-based materials in ensuring food safety and quality, especially in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
