Abstract
In this study, calcium carbonate, sepiolite, and commonly used diatomite (DE) carriers were mixed to prepare calcium carbonate or sepiolite mixed DE/nano-titanium dioxide (TiO(2)). The analyses of X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscope confirmed that the particle size of nano-TiO(2) was about 20-24 nm in DE/nano-TiO(2), and the particles were relatively uniform. When (calcium carbonate and sepiolite + DE)/nano-TiO(2) was used, the Ti content in the composite remained unchanged, while the particle size of nano-TiO(2) increased to a certain extent. Among them, the use of (calcium carbonate + DE)/nano-TiO(2) increased the Ti content in the composite material significantly. Therefore, the findings demonstrated the feasibility of nano-TiO(2) supported by the mixed carrier.
