Abstract
OBJECTIVES: To analyze the application effect of staged health education combined with psychological counseling in the treatment of pediatric leukemia at different stages. METHODS: A total of 106 pediatric leukemia patients admitted to First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University between January 2024 and March 2025 were selected as the subjects of this study. The patients were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group, with 53 cases in each group. The control group received conventional nursing, while the observation group received staged health education combined with psychological counseling. The nursing effects of the two groups were compared. RESULTS: The observation group scored significantly better than the control group in terms of disease cognition, prevention awareness, and understanding of hygiene behaviors (p<.05). The anxiety (SAS) and depression (SDS) scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group (p<.05). The observation group was significantly better than the control group in terms of complication control, venous channel maintenance, medication compliance, and hospital satisfaction (p<.05). CONCLUSIONS: The application of staged health education combined with psychological counseling in the treatment of childhood leukemia at different stages is ideal. Reasonable nursing according to the different stages of treatment is conducive to improving the correct cognition of children, improving negative emotions, and optimizing treatment effects. It is worth promoting in future nursing.
