Abstract
Increased tRNA abundance and amino acid coupling generally promote increased oncogenesis. By contrast, a new study shows that in breast cancer, the leucyl-tRNA synthetase LARS suppresses transformation and tumour development by increasing tRNA-Leu(CAG) translation of certain tumour suppressor mRNAs.
