Abstract
Autism is one of the most common psychiatric disorders , which cause high care giver burden to the family members. Early identification of autism helps in better prognosis and good quality of life to the individual. Management includes pharmacological and non pharmacological treatments. Earlier research on management of autism mainly concentrated on pharmacological measures but limited studies and literature is available regarding non pharmacological management which is equally important. This symposium deals with newer medications in treatment of autism along with non pharmacological techniques in management of autism.
