Abstract
More than 400 original articles have been published from 2007 onwards evaluating therapeutic potential of molecular hydrogen (H(2)), the youngest member of medical gases family with selective anti-oxidative properties. However, recent studies suggest that H(2) may tackle other mitochondrial processes besides oxidative stress, including metabolic pathways that drive cellular energy.
