Abstract
We present a genome assembly from an individual male Blera fallax (the pine hoverfly; Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Syrphidae). The genome sequence is 462 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 7 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the assembled X and Y chromosomes. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, and is 16.2 kilobases in length.
