Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To construct an implementation system of comprehensive nursing care for patients with Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) based on clinical guidelines, to study the effectiveness of their nursing care through practical application, and to provide new evidence for clinical decision-making in HCC care. METHODS: Sixty patients with HCC treated with transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) admitted to our hospital from June 2022 to December 2023 were selected as study subjects and were divided into two groups before and after the evidence-based practice for comparative study. Based on the pyramid “6S” evidence model, we searched and screened relevant literature, formulated and implemented evidence-based nursing programs, and statistically analyzed the liver function indexes and nursing satisfaction of patients in the two groups. RESULTS: Patients’ postoperative AST (Aspartate Aminotransferase, Aspartate Aminotransferase), TBIL (Total Bilirubin, Total Bilirubin), and PTA (Prothrombin Activity, Prothrombin Activity) improved significantly after the implementation of the evidence-based nursing program compared to the pre-intervention period (single-center before–after). In addition, patients’ satisfaction with the quality of care increased from 78% to 92% before the evidence-based practice, and nurses’ ratings of the applicability, clinical significance, and satisfaction of the nursing program were also higher, indicating the feasibility and effectiveness of evidence-based nursing practice in clinical application. CONCLUSION: Clinical decision-making and evidence-based practice in HCC care are important in enhancing patient prognosis, improving quality of care, and enhancing patient satisfaction.
