Aims

Here, we asked whether microRNAs (miRNAs, miRs), which are strong posttranscriptional regulators of gene expression, could alter SMC proliferation.

Conclusion

Collectively, we report the identification of the hypoxamir-24 as an inhibitor of SMC proliferation, contributing to loss of vascularization.
