Abstract

MoS(2) quantum dots (QDs) were synthesized using a one-step hydrothermal method and subsequently functionalized with 11-mercaptoundecanoic acid. The functionalized QDs were thoroughly characterized, which exhibited antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus at 10 mg/mL. These findings underscore its potential as antifouling coatings for biomedical applications.
