Abstract
Acute scrotal pain is one of the most common causes of urological consultation. The most common etiologies include testicular torsion. One of the less common causes is varicocele thrombosis. Recognizing this rare entity is crucial to preventing misdiagnosis. This report presents a clinical case of spontaneous varicocele thrombosis mimicking testicular torsion, emphasizing the value of ultrasound imaging coupled with Doppler to establish an accurate diagnosis and avoid unnecessary surgical exploration. This diagnostic approach allows the clinician to be guided towards an appropriate, often conservative, treatment.
