Abstract
The concurrent application of disulfiram (710 mg/kg diet; or 200 mg/kg diet) effects a strong enhancement of the toxicity and an acceleration of the formation of esophageal tumors by N-methyl-N-nitrosobenzylamine (10 mg/l drinking water) in female SIV 50 rats. Besides that squamous cell papilloma in the trachea and extended squamous cell metaplasia in the bronchus system with potentially but not safely precancerous nature were seen.
