Abstract
The European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) is celebrating its 50(th) anniversary this year. In celebration of this occasion, we are talking with Dr. Florence Rabier, Director-General of the ECMWF, about what has been achieved over the last five decades and what opportunities and challenges lie ahead in the field of weather prediction.
