Abstract
The Promoting Excellent Alternatives in Kansas (PEAK) program is a tiered voluntary, pay-for-performance incentive program, which encourages nursing home providers to adopt person-centered practices through deep organizational change. PEAK 2.0 participating homes (n=212) were surveyed via a Qualtrics survey about their experience in the program following the 2016–17 program year. Fifty percent of the participating homes (n=113) completed the survey, which included quantitative and qualitative data. Using thematic analysis this session will present the key qualitative findings; such as the importance of meaningful contact with participating homes, the Foundation year of education and training, and regular feedback on home’s progress. Use of the program evaluation to shape an advisory group, material development and additional follow up sessions with homes will be discussed as well as future directions of the program.
