Abstract
First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Biology Open, helping researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Mikaela Scheer is first author on ‘ Alveolar epithelial paxillin in postnatal lung alveolar development’, published in BiO. Mikaela is a research technician in the lab of Akiko Mammoto at the University of Wisconsin, USA, investigating the role of angiogenesis in lung development and regeneration.
