Abstract
Anatomic restoration of the meniscal root footprint is essential to restore normal tibiofemoral kinematics and prevent the onset of osteoarthritic changes. It is difficult to assess the exact depth of the guide pin assembly, especially in cases with guide pin deflections when preparing the tibial tunnel for transtibial pullout posterior meniscal root repair without intraoperative fluoroscopy. The present technique illustrates a low-cost and time-efficient means of confirming correct pin placement distance during arthroscopic posterior meniscal root repair.
