Abstract
[(18)F]fluoro-2-deoxy-d-glucose PET/computed tomography has been implemented in the management of patients with lymphoma, offering real-time metabolic information on lymphoma with the promise of more accurate staging, treatment response assessment, prognostication, and early detection of disease recurrence. The clinical management of lymphoproliferative disease has recently, rapidly evolved from initial chemotherapeutic to the use of immunotherapy, targeted agents, and to the use of chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapies. The implementation of these new systems and imaging protocols together with new tracer development creates, in the field of lymphoproliferative disease, both opportunities and challenges that will be detailed in this comprehensive literature review.
