Abstract
We announce the complete genome sequence of Klebsiella pneumoniae strain 11978 isolated from a patient hospitalized in Turkey in 2001. The genome belongs to sequence type 14 and includes three plasmids. Notably, it presents an IncL plasmid carrying bla(OXA-48), which demonstrated global success in terms of dissemination.
