Abstract
Very soon after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, diabetes was identified as a factor associated with severe forms and a prognostic factor. Since then, many studies have focused on this relationship and have been able to clarify a number of elements: impact of comorbidities associated with diabetes, phenotype of diabetic subjects at risk of severe forms, impact of glycemic control, impact of COVID-19 on the risk of diabetes. However, a certain number of questions or hypotheses persist, in particular concerning the influence of antidiabetic treatments on the prognosis or the pathophysiological mechanisms involved in the severe forms associated with diabetes.
