Abstract
Choroidal neovascularization (CNV) is rare after retinal detachment (RD) surgery. In this retrospective report, we detail a case of CNV after three RD repairs with silicone oil placement for the repair of the most recent redetachment. The patient responded to antivascular endothelial growth factor intravitreal injections with resolution of intraretinal and subretinal fluid. Postoperative optical coherence tomography imaging may be required for patients with risk factors such as multiple surgeries on the same eye, silicone oil, or macular detachment.
