Abstract
Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a prevalent and burdensome chronic skin disease, with profound effects on patient quality of life. Advancing its diagnosis and management remains a pressing clinical need. Artificial intelligence holds growing promise in addressing this challenge. This review outlines the current landscape of AD and explores the expanding role of AI in its care-from improving diagnostic accuracy and objective severity scoring to predicting therapeutic outcomes and personalizing treatment strategies. While these technologies are poised to transform dermatology practice, their successful integration will depend on overcoming technical and practical barriers through collaborative, interdisciplinary efforts. Further research and thoughtful implementation are essential to translate AI's potential into better, more precise patient care.
