Abstract
Comic books reside uniquely within American culture. Historians have contended comics are more than just sequential artwork mixed with engaging stories, but rather, a framework by which the generations make sense of who they are. These stories are a reflection of cultural conscience; a lens through which we can view the world and a mirror through which we can better understand ourselves. This article explores using comic books to better understand the logic of "good reasons" to shape our understanding of leadership and its practice. Furthermore, I offer how the work of Walter Fisher (1984) might offer new insight into pedagogical techniques wherein such narratives become more than a tool, but rather a space where leadership can be explored, challenged, and more clearly understood.
