Regression, correlation, association, and agreement are commonly used statistical terms in medical research, yet their distinctive meanings are not clear to some researchers. This article explains the precise meaning and interpretation of these terms and discusses their inappropriate use in some cases. However, the discussion is brief and focused on fundamentals for our medical colleagues.
