Abstract
Wound complications after common femoral artery exposure remain a significant source of postoperative morbidity, with seroma formation being a prevalent concern. Seromas can contribute to patient discomfort, delayed wound healing, and an increased risk of infection. Effective prevention and management strategies are essential to mitigate these complications and optimize recovery. This review provides an evidence-based analysis of seroma management after groin surgery, including preventive measures, conservative treatments, and surgical interventions. By synthesizing data from clinical studies, systematic reviews, and expert recommendations, this article serves as a practical resource for vascular surgeons and clinicians involved in the postoperative care of patients undergoing vascular procedures.
